4 Easy Fall Maintenance Tips
Once fall sets in, you may think that all you need to do is turn your AC off for another year but proper maintenance can save you costly repair bills and emergency service calls. Follow these four tips to ensure that your furnace is ready for the season.
Get your furnace professionally serviced. This will ensure that you have no heating issues once the temperature drops.
Have your ducts cleaned. Duct cleaning should ideally happen every year. This maintains proper air flow throughout your home.
Change your air filter. Dust accumulates and can start to block airflow. This forces your furnace to work harder and could lead to costly repairs or replacement.
Install a programmable thermostat. Being able to pre-program your temperature settings for different hours and peak periods will keep heating and cooling costs down all year round.
